Dutch corner cabinet, ca. 1770
A Dutch corner cabinet in golden oak, following the Neoclassical taste. The dented cornice is a feature that would have been seen in England and New England whilst the door panel follows the French Louis XVI style. The blend of different influences in cabinet making was characteristic for sea trading countries. Original hinges, lock and key. The Low Countries, around 1770.
